The Journey
Everything you need to know about the full arc of the Soltara experience - from booking to a full year of post-retreat support.
Supporting You from Intake to Integration
At Soltara, we hold a high standard for every aspect of the ceremonial process. As one of the first Ayahuasca retreats to emphasize holistic and integrative before- and aftercare, we are constantly evolving to meet you where you are and connect to the answers and agency you already have within you.
With our programs, you're not just experiencing a retreat; you're embarking on a full year of guided personal growth. Our support begins the moment you say 'yes' and extends far beyond your time in Costa Rica. Here's how we guide and support you every step of the way.

Book Your Retreat
Explore upcoming retreats across our Costa Rica locations. Compare programs, accommodations, dates, and pricing to find the experience that aligns with your intentions and journey.
Choose Your Path
We offer retreats in two breathtaking Costa Rican locations: Playa Blanca, our seaside sanctuary overlooking the Gulf of Nicoya, and Scarlet Valley, our lush mountain haven in the Central Pacific Valley. Each retreat space offers an immersive experience in some of the most biodiverse places in the world, with the same programs, support, and standard of care across both.

Intake
Every guest completes a confidential intake process before attending a retreat. This allows our team to understand your health history, current medications, and personal circumstances so we can determine whether this experience is appropriate and support you with individualized care.
A Thoughtful First Step
Your journey begins with a comprehensive intake review designed to support your safety and wellbeing. After registration, you'll complete a detailed medical questionnaire and provide information about your physical and mental health history, followed by a 1:1 intake call with an experienced intake coordinator.
Our team carefully reviews every application and speaks to every guest to ensure participation is appropriate, answer any questions, and identify any additional guidance or support that may be needed before attending a retreat.

Preparation
Once accepted, you gain access to our preparation resources, community support, and expert coaches as you begin to orient toward this work ahead of your journey to Soltara.
Your Journey Begins Before You Arrive
Once accepted, you'll receive a link to book your 1:1 preparation coaching call with an experienced Soltara facilitator. You’ll also gain access to community spaces and a range of preparation resources designed to help you approach your retreat with clarity and confidence. From practical guidance to educational content and group preparation circles led by a plant medicine therapist, this phase helps lay the foundation for a meaningful experience.
Preparation is not simply a step before the retreat. It is an important part of the journey itself.

Retreat Experience
Arrive and immerse yourself in a carefully held container designed to support deep healing, self discovery, and transformation. Guided by highly skilled Shipibo healers, experienced facilitators, and a supportive community, every aspect of the retreat is intentionally crafted to help your journey unfold.
A Container for Transformation
From the moment you arrive, you'll be welcomed into a supportive environment designed to help you disconnect from daily distractions and turn your attention inward. Through a balance of ceremony, integration, nourishment, rest, and connection, the retreat experience creates space for meaningful healing and self discovery.
Every element of the experience is intentionally designed to support your journey while helping you feel safe, grounded, and cared for throughout your stay.

Integration
The retreat may come to an end, but the journey continues. Integration is the process of bringing the insights, healing, and lessons from your retreat into everyday life. Through continued guidance, practical tools, and ongoing support, Soltara helps you transform meaningful moments into lasting change.
Where Lasting Change Takes Root
While profound experiences can happen during retreat, meaningful transformation often unfolds afterward through integration. This process involves reflecting on your experience, applying new insights, and creating supportive habits that help you carry the work forward.
Through individual and group support, holistic resources, and ongoing community, you are equipped with the tools and resources to build a deeper relationship with yourself and bring what you've learned into your relationships and daily life.
